I have received several emails/comments that listeners are having problems attaining volume level when listening to my Wave files. I have tested, and re-tested, the files on various computers and know that issue is not within the .wav file, but, in the individual's PC volume control settings. You can use Volume Control to adjust the volume, balance, bass, and treble settings for sounds played on your computer or by multimedia applications. You can also use Volume Control to adjust the level of system sounds, microphones, CD audio, line-in, synthesizer, and wave output. Make sure that your WAVE Volume Control is at set to maximum. I have included the basic options for PC users below, I hope this helps with your volume control issues when listening to the .wav files I have created just for you!
Use
the volume knob or buttons on the keyboard.
Volume knob: Raises speaker volume when turned right and lowers
volume when turned left. Can be turned indefinitely, even after maximum sound
has been reached.
Volume Up and Down buttons: Press the Volume Up button to raise volume
and the Volume Down button to lower volume.
Use the volume controls from within the software program that is playing the
disc.
Change the volume by using the volume icon:
IT will look like this:
<< Volume icon.
Double-click the volume icon on the taskbar, if present, and adjust the volume
settings.
If the volume icon is not there;
Click Start on the taskbar.
Select Control Panel.
Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices, if present.
Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices.
Select the Volume tab and use the slider bar to change device
volume.
Make sure Mute is not selected.
Place a check mark in the Place volume icon in the taskbar check box.
Select the Audio tab or the Voice tab, and
then click the Volume button to adjust volume for Sound playback, Sound recording,
MIDI music playback, Voice playback, and Voice recording.
Click OK.
